Hinman Straub Advisors Take on FCPNY Lobbying Duties in Albany

FCPNY is pleased to introduce you to our new lobbying team in Albany - Hinman Straub Advisors. Hinman Straub is one of Albany's oldest and most experienced firms. With all of the recent leadership changes occurring in Albany, we are pleased to have selected a firm with strong relationships on both sides of the aisle to help us work on issues that affect our organization.

Led by attorney and lobbyist Mara Ginsberg, Hinman Straub brings the skills of their entire firm to the table on behalf of FCPNY. Some of you may have already met Mara at our meeting in early March, where she was busy learning about our industry and the challenges we face legislatively.

Mara and her team have hit the ground running and have already begun working with Dan Holmes, the board and the legislative committee to develop plans for this legislative session and on into next year. One of the items on the table is helping your organization develop positive relationships with the legislators by having your members discuss issues with our elected officials face to face.

Hinman Straub's strength lies in their commitment to their clients. They provide a full range of services, including analyzing and drafting legislation, monitoring legislative committee activity, advocating before government leaders and their senior staff, and formulating strategic and tactical plans that will help FCPNY get their messages to key elected officials and senior policy makers. They understand that successful government advocacy demands strong relationships and deep institutional knowledge combined with intricate knowledge of the nuances of government systems.

Mara is full of energy and is anxious to get her team moving on the legislative agenda. If you have any issues that you recommend FCPNY champion this session or in future legislative sessions, please contact Dan Holmes.
